 Survivorship Resources

Alison Gause quote and image on survivorship factsheetsIn collaboration with breast cancer survivors and research partners on the Pathways Breast Cancer Survivorship Study, we created a series of materials on topics prioritized by multi-lingual and lower-income survivors, including Black, Asian-American and Latina women. Our initial four articles address Memory & Thinking Problems, Cancer-Related Nerve Pain, Self-Care During Covid-19, and Heart Health After Cancer.

  • Created 4 original articles and sent each to more than 3,500 survivors
  • Adapted 3 articles into English & Spanish blog posts, which had over 15,800 views
  • Adapted 2 articles into engaging English & Spanish Factsheets
  • Disseminated more than 600 hard copies of the English Memory Factsheet

  • 95% rated discussion as useful

Generations Campaign

2021 generations impact

We’ve been working with Breast Cancer and the Environment Across Generations Advisory Group members and scientists at Child Health and Development Studies for four years to develop a new educational campaign about how the harmful chemicals that we’re exposed to everyday impact multiple generations. Together, we created six educational posters about ways to reduce exposure to these chemicals and we launched the Generations campaign webpages in October 2021.

  • Over 1,000 webpage views in just over two months
  • More than 80 community members provided input
  • Of those surveyed not already doing a recommended action, an average of 82% would take action based on the poster
  • Secured funding to have posters on public transit in 2022

Kids' Activities

Girls' New Puberty

Early puberty is a risk factor for breast cancer and health during puberty impacts lifetime breast cancer risk, so starting healthy behaviors young matters. Our GNP materials include English, Spanish and Chinese infographics and videos, as well as English and Spanish eGuides.
