Dr. Lloyd Miyawaki, the highly-respected Medical Director of Sutter Health's Marin Cancer Institute, oversees an exemplary integrated program of care that promotes community-based cancer prevention, early detection, treatment, rehabilitation and supportive care offered in the Cancer Care Center, Marin General Hospital, physician's offices and in homes. This unique community centered program provides personalized, state-of-the-art care through a multi-disciplinary team approach, with patient and family centered services and complementary techniques. Weekly meetings of physicians are held to review every cancer case and survival rates for patients are markedly higher than the national average.
