Tesimonial
"Summer 2024, I had the opportunity to intern with the Resilient Me coaching program, which proved to be an incredibly enriching experience. After completing my coaching certification from Emory University in March, I began working with six Resilient Me clients in June while also preparing for the NBHWC exam. This dual engagement not only enhanced my coaching skills and confidence but also served as excellent preparation for the exam, which I passed.
Lianna Hartmour, the program director, demonstrated exceptional leadership through clear communication and a well-structured approach to the program's operations. Her focus on ensuring consistency across all coaching sessions, regardless of the coach, contributed to the program's success and allowed me to further refine my ability to adapt my practice. Importantly, Lianna fostered an environment of trust, allowing coaches to independently manage their schedules and sessions while remaining available for support when needed.
I cannot speak highly enough of the Resilient Me internship and coaching program and am truly grateful for the opportunity to participate. It provided me with invaluable coaching experience and deepened my understanding of breast cancer, greatly contributing to my personal and professional growth."
– Vickie Hunter, NBC-HWC
"The Resilient Me internship provided a unique opportunity not only to further develop my coaching skills, but to also learn about the experience of and better relate to those who have received a breast cancer diagnosis.
It was personally rewarding to see how the coaching practice was positively received and so greatly appreciated by my group of participants. The support I was able to provide through coaching allowed me to make a real difference in the lives of others. This experience has further confirmed my commitment to and belief in coaching as a vital part of our health and wellness journey.
The internship was well organized and provided clear direction and expectations. The internship director was supportive, accessible, and responsive throughout the program. Having periodic sessions with an experienced, NBHWC certified coach and instructor also helped provide additional support and direction to help improve upon my skills.
I would highly recommend the Resilient Me internship to others."
