Leah KelleyLeah Kelley, MD, is a breast surgical oncologist and gynecologic surgeon with Prima Medical Group. She is Medical Director of the Breast Program at Marin General Hospital and has spearheaded innovative programs including the Marin Cancer Center’s High Risk Breast Program. Dr. Kelley is being recognized for her expertise in the field of breast cancer surgery and her caring, sympathetic and compassionate care of women and men diagnosed with breast cancer.

Dr. Kelley received her medical degree from the University of Chicago, graduating with high honors. She went on to residency training in obstetrics and gynecologic surgery at the University of California, San Francisco and completed advanced fellowship training in breast surgical oncology at the University of Southern California. The USC fellowship is the only Society of Surgical Oncology certified program that teaches oncoplastic surgery, a specialized surgical approach that combines the principles of cancer surgery with the techniques of plastic surgery to achieve optimal cosmetic and oncologic results.

As a clinician, Dr. Kelley combines a holistic, women’s health approach with precision surgical care. As a committed member of the Marin Community, she strives to make her practice a vital part of the larger community and to build education and outreach into every aspect of care. Patients walk out of her office understanding their diagnosis and their plan of care. She is passionate about educating the community on breast cancer awareness and prevention. She is fluent in Spanish and strives to educate the underserved Latina population in Marin as well as other members of the community by speaking frequently at community events focused on breast cancer risk factors and surgical options. Her patients credit her clinical confidence, personalized care and delightful laugh as key to their healing and recovery.

Dr. Kelley resides with her family in the East Bay and is an avid runner, cyclist and outdoorswoman.
