Dan Trinidad, CEO and Joe Cucchiara, Branch Manager of Partners Mortgage in San Jose provided a truly exemplary model of promoting work-life balance, demonstrating how businesses can support employees diagnosed with breast cancer in ways that benefit the individual and the company as well as the larger community.

Leticia Croft-Holguin, who was diagnosed with triple-negative breast cancer during her ninth month of pregnancy, nominated Mr. Trinidad and Mr. Cucchiara for this award. For the past five years, Partners Mortgage has supported Leticia through her recovery and continued employment with the company.

Partners Mortgage's support has benefited Ms. Croft-Holguin and her young family and many others through her outreach programs: Young Women and Breast Cancer Awareness, (with Latinas Contra Cancer); ymoms.org - a website for young mothers with breast cancer; and her new children's book, Cancer Starts with C. Leticia also disseminates Zero Breast Cancer's bilingual breast cancer prevention education materials for Latinas.

Mr. Trinidad's career in the mortgage industry spans three decades. Following college at U.C. Irvine, he co-founded Partners Mortgage in 1988 with a core belief in customer service and the financial wellbeing of its employees. In 2008 his mother was diagnosed with breast cancer, which was the first of two life changing experiences involving cancer in his family. In 2011, Dan organized his team, Partners for the Cure, which has raised major funds for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to honor his wife Mindy Trinidad who died of leukemia in 2008.

As a Mortgage Planner with Partners Mortgage & Founder of RE360Radio, Joe Cucchiara is dedicated to providing exceptional informational value in anything and everything real estate - knowledge is power. A Bay Area resident with firm community roots, Joe uses his media resources to build awareness and support, especially through the Giving Back segment of his broadcasts. Whether raising funds for The Leukemia Lymphoma Society or showcasing Zero Breast Cancer on Real Estate 360, non-profit causes are an integral part of every facet of his personal and professional life.
