Nora has been a Certified Massage Therapist for 10 years. As a professional massage therapist, she works with the elderly, ill and dying, as well as those facing life-threatening situations, such as breast cancer. She sees her clients in convalescent homes, hospitals and private homes. She has been volunteering her services one day a week at the Marin Radiation Oncology unit of Marin General Hospital since 1991. The patients receive free massages when undergoing radiation and chemotherapy. She addresses the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual needs of her clients through her healing touch. To quote one of her nominators, "when she touches you, your body, mind and spirit soar. They relax. They float." This extraordinary woman says, "These massages become the highlight of my week. I see up to 8 patients a day and each day is filled with joy for my clients and myself."
