Fern has been a health education specialist for over 20 years and has lived in Marin since 1992. Fern currently works at the STD/HIV Prevention Training Center in Berkeley, CA where she is Program Director for the California HIV Partner Counseling and Referral Services Program. After being diagnosed with breast cancer in 1996, Fern joined Zero Breast Cancer and remains committed to raising community awareness about the possible environmental links to cancer and the importance of the Precautionary Principle.
